Peter John Wilkins December 30, 1942 – July 2, 2018 Peter John Wilkins passed away suddenly on July 2, 2018 at 75 years of age and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The community embraced Pete’s all around good nature and smiling face as he sold door knobs door to door to support his family. As opportunities presented themselves, Pete expanded his learning and started Cornerstone Builders established now for 30+ years and recently added Rainy Day Gutters to his business endeavors.

It wasn’t long before this Jack-of-all-trades became the community’s go-to guy. He had time for everyone and an answer for almost every problem. He was a believer, worshiper, selfless provider, and an everyday problem solver.

Pete enjoyed taking his boat, the Carolyn E., out during his numerous visits to Kino Bay, Mexico to fish and enjoy the marine life. He loved Jesus, his family unconditionally, working with his hands, playing drums, carpentry, hats, cigars, instrumental jazz music, and beautiful cake made by Carolyn for him on his birthday every year. To know him was to truly love him, to talk to him was to become his friend whether you called him Peter John, Pete, Dad, Pops, or other.

However he touched your life he did so simply by being an instrument of God. Pete and Carolyn have made Sierra Vista their home for the past 40 years. He leaves to mourn; his loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn Wilkins; their four children, Lisa, Errika, Peter John II, and William Wilkins; 11 grandchildren: Jessica (Anton) Robinson, Brandon and Brianna MacLellan, Sabrina Ryan, Dyvon, Dajah, Amani, Amari, and Paris Wilkins and Ruthie Aguilar; three great grandchildren: Lincoln MacLellan, Sumi Babineaux, and Gia Robinson; plus several cousins and nieces.

A celebration service will be held at Shiloh Christian Ministries at 1519 Avenida Del Sol Sierra Vista, AZ at 11 a.m. on July 13.
