Phil Loren Cowherd, 54, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on January 21, 1964, in San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Loren Vernon and Dorothea Louise (Harland) Cowherd. He passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Danny Ringer will officiate.

Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cherishing his memory are his three sisters, Sue Poole and her husband, Edward, of Elk City, Oklahoma, Dye-Anna Bell Chadrick and her husband, Lee of Hobart, Oklahoma, Cara Lee Salazar of Hobart, Oklahoma; one brother, Torrance Harland Cowherd of Elk City, Oklahoma; two step sons, Brad Beeson and Travis Beeson both of Elk City, Oklahoma; special friends; Victoria Zavala, Melissa Whitlow, and Cassandra Green. He is preceded in death by his parents, Loren Vernon and Dorothea Louise Cowherd; one step-son, Ryan Beason.
