Phyllis Brewster January 05, 1943 – October 27, 2017 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Phyllis Jane (Schrimsher) Brewster, age 74 of Loudon, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017. She was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church and a member of the Wesleyan Guild. She enjoyed a 30 year career employed with Loudon County, first in the Title 1 program at Philadelphia Elementary School and then she could be found in the Assessor of Property Office where she was honored as the 1996 Deputy Assessor of the Year for the state of Tennessee.

An honor which gave her much pride. She was involved many years with the Loudon County Republican Women. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed traveling with her husband and later with her sons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Raymond and Ella Jean (Small) Schrimsher; her beloved husband, Eddie Ray Brewster, Sr.; son, Eddie Ray Brewster, Jr.; father in-law and mother in-law, Ray Brewster and Mary Joy (Hill) Brewster Mashburn; brother in-law, Roger Brewster. She is survived by her devoted sons, Charles Christopher Brewster, Knoxville and James Reid Brewster, Loudon; grandchildren, Kristin Michelle Brewster and James Reid Brewster, Jr., Las Vegas; great grandchildren, Xzavier and Alaina; brothers and sisters in-law, Toby Brewster, Freddie and Jo Brewster, all of Lenoir City, David and Becky Brewster, Plant City, FL, Don and Susan Brewster, Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews. Services honoring and remembering Phyllis Brewster will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, Nov.

1st, McGill-Karnes Chapel with Rev. Ty Brewster and Rev. Darren Chapman officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc., 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919-6340 or to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, 406 Wharf St. Loudon, TN.
