Obituary of Phyllis Pellet Phyllis J. Pellet, 84, of Tivoli, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 in Albany, NY. Born on February 26th, 1934, in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Lillian (Lamb) Harding. Phyllis married Howard Pellet on May 2, 1953.

Phyllis had a Bachelor Degree in Sociology from Bard College, a Master in Social Work (MSW) from SUNY Albany and a Masters (MA) in Sociology from SUNY New Paltz. Phyllis worked as a recreational therapist for NYS Office of People with Developmental Disabilities at Wassaic, NY and later as a social worker in several agencies for NYS Office of Mental Health. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children, Deborah Beck of Albany, N.Y. Scott Pellet of Alabaster, AL, Susan (Charles) Froatz of Northville, NY, and Peter Pellet of Tivoli, NY; her five grandsons; her two great grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

Her brother, Ralph “Buddy” Harding predeceased her. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 from 1 – 3 PM. A celebration of Phyllis’s life will follow at 3 pm.

Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made in Phyllis’s memory to the Community Hospice at St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation 310 Manning Blvd. , Albany, NY 12208 or at commiunityhospice.org.
