Rev. Dr. Dave’s Obituary Rev. Dr. Dave Adams, Jr., (BoBo) age 80, a native and longtime resident of McIntosh, AL was born August 19, 1938 to the parentage of the Late Dave Adams, Sr. and the Late Annie Adams.

He departed this life January 31, 2019. He was preceded in death by a loving and devoted wife, the Late Rosie Marie Griffin-Adams, a daughter, Connie Adams, a son, Donnie G. Adams; one sister, Irene Reed, and three brothers, Walter Lee Reed, Mack Logan Adams, and Sylvester Adams. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the Late Mrs. Rosie Griffin-Adams on July 3, 1960; his soulmate.

They loved and were dedicated to one another for over 56 years. To this union ten children were born; and one grandson they adopted and raised from an infant. At an early age in his teens he started working at Mobile River Sawmill to help support his parents and siblings due to an accident that disabled his dad, the Late Dave Adams, Sr

He also worked as a Foreman at Brown & Root, in McIntosh, AL until he became disabled and retired. Rev. Dr. Dave Adams, Jr. was a faithful member and Deacon of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, McIntosh, AL where he also sang in the choir and with a Gospel Group known as The Washington County Male Chorus until he was ordained into the ministry June 10, 1990, and later pastored at Little Sunflower Missionary Baptist Church, Sunflower, AL, and Greater Mackey Branch #2, Gosport, AL.

He also served as President of the First District of the Bethel Baptist Association for many years. He will forever be cherished in the hearts of his loving and devoted children, three sons, Arnold B. (Rhonda) Adams, Sr. of Satsuma , AL; Alex D. Adams, M. Ed. , RN, and Justin D. Adams, both of Mobile, AL; six daughters, Glenda A. Stephens of McIntosh, AL; Linda F. (Robert) White of Cincinnati, OH; Joyce B. Turner and Myrtle C. (Michael) Davis, both of Birmingham, AL; Stephanie D. (Rev.

James, Jr.) West, of Axis, AL and Alecia Adams, of Mobile, AL; four brothers, Louis (Jean) Adams, James (Tracy) of Buffalo, NY; Kenny (Barbara) Adams of Nanuet, NY; ton (Sylvia) Adams of McIntosh, AL; four sisters, Clara (Joe*) Bush of Buffalo, NY; Annie (Eddie) Reed, Virchus (Aaron) Reed and Sandra (Bobby*) Reed of McIntosh, AL; one devoted aunt, Kate (Gilmore*) Adams of McIntosh, AL; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one god-son, Colby Adams of McIntosh, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
