Louretta Jackson Armstead, a resident of Jackson, answered the Master’s call on Sunday, February 24, 2019, while at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile, AL. Born April 5, 1967 to Caesar and Carrie Thomas Jackson, she was 51 years of age. She was a member of the Jackson High School Class of 1986, as well as a faithful and dedicated member of Carlton AOH Church where she served in many capacities including singing in the choir and as a part of the Hospitality Committee.

Louretta was employed at Vanity Fair, Miss Peggy’s Daycare and Shirley’s Day Care. She loved children. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

She had a smile each and every time you saw her. Preceding her in death were her husband, Willie Armstead Sr. and mother, Carrie Thomas Jackson. Left to cherish her loving memories are her two devoted and loving sons, Willie (Amy) Armstead, Jr. of Grove Hill, AL, and Jeremy (Markieda) Armstead of Jackson, AL; four grandchildren; father, Caesar Jackson of Detroit, MI; sister, Ronetta (Rodney) Cox of Detroit, MI; two brothers, Cecil R. (Melissa) Jackson of Gautier, MS, and Andre Washington of Detroit, MI; mother-in-law, Annie Pearl Armstead of Toddtown, AL; two brothers-in-law, Tommie (Marilyn) Armstead of York, AL, and Norman (Zelda) Armstead of Winn, AL; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, god children, and many friends.
