Rev. Michael Eugene Ray, 56, of Whitesburg, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019. He was pastor at Old Fashioned Gospel House in Bulls Gap, TN.

He was preceded by his grandparents, Willard and Ruby Sartain, who raised him; uncle, E.J. Sartain; aunt, Ann Gilbert and cousin, Sgt. Chris Gray. He is survived by his wife of almost 24 years, Teresa Ray; son, Brandon Ray (Mia), In laws, Lynn and Lou Ella Smith; mother and step-father, Carol and Ralph Wolfe; sister, Carolyn Williamson (George), all of Whitesburg; two nieces, one nephew; aunts, Lennie Hightower (Luther) and Wilma Campbell (Robert); several cousins and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Old Fashioned Gospel House in Bulls Gap with Rev. Harmon Willis and Rev.

Guy Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Catherine Nenney Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.
