Reva Louise Moody Ammons, 74, went home to be with her Lord May 29, 2018. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Friday June 1, 2018 at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Archdale. A Celebration of her life will be held 11:00AM Saturday June 2, 2018 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member, with Pastor Bobby Blackburn officiating.

A native of Haywood County, Reva was the daughter of the late Bernice and Claude Vance Moody. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Moody. Reva was a homemaker, a giver of herself, and was loved by so many people.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her loving husband John Wesley Ammons; daughters Pam Ward Prevatte and fiancé Tim, and April Hernandez and husband Gabriel; sons Mark Ward, and William Ammons and fiancé Laurie; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters Geneva Smith and husband Coy, Geraldine Langston, and Brenda Call and husband Clay; brothers Weaver Moody and wife Sarah, Kenneth Moody and wife Margie, and Winston Moody and wife Debra; a special niece Donna, her nephews Ronald and Tony; special friends Darlene Morton, Linda and Larry, Brenda, Wayne, and Karrie and Billy Carden; and numerous extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends at the church on Saturday following the service.
