Richard A. Evans, 87, of Bardstown, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, died Wednesday May 23, 2018 at Baptist Health Hospital. He was a plant executive for a soft drink company, a 32nd degree Mason of the East Gate Lodge in Columbus and of Episcopalian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Richard Evans and Mildred Evans.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Lee Evans; three children, David Christian (Mary Nelson) Evans of Baltimore, Maryland, Elizabeth Evans Brown of Richmond, Virginia, Robin Allison Evans of Bardstown; and four grandchildren, Trevor Brown, Margaret Lee Evans, Mary Elizabeth Evans, Matthew David Evans. A private memorial service was held on Saturday May 26, 2018 at Bardstown United Methodist Church for close friends and family. Memorial contributions may go to the Guthrie Opportunity Center, 900 Nutter Dr. Bardstown, KY 40004.
