Richard’s Obituary Richard E. Whisler, Sr., 70, of York Springs, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at his home. He was born March 16, 1948, in Adams County, the son of the late Russell and Dorothy (Griest) Whisler. Rich was a retired automotive mechanic and General Motors enthusiast.

He was a former drag racer and enjoyed traveling to see covered bridges. Rich is survived by a son; a brother, Eugene R. Whisler of Dillsburg; a sister, Jean Kay Parker (Dale) of York Springs; a nephew, Brandon Parker and a niece, Deidre Parker both of York Springs. He was preceded in death by one son.

Services will be held Monday, March 18, 2019, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. Burial will be held in the Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs. A viewing will be held Monday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
