OBITUARY Richard “Rick” A. Ziliak October 23, 1950 – July 13, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Richard “Rick” A. Ziliak, 67, of Haubstadt, IN passed away Friday, July 13, 2018, at Linda E. White Hospice House. He was born in Princeton, Indiana on October 23, 1950, to the late Alvin and Esther (Greubel) Ziliak. Rick graduated from Haubstadt High School in 1968.

He was the owner of Advance Filter Cleaning and Sales located in Haubstadt for over 35 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Haubstadt Chamber of Commerce over the years. Rick was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran church.

He frequently volunteered at church functions and was willing to help out whenever he was asked. He loved to fish and spend time with family, especially his grandkids. He enjoyed volunteering at his church, collecting specialty knives and guns, woodworking and leather crafting.

Rick served in the US Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a lifelong proud Marine and always said “Once a Marine, Always a Marine”. He is survived by his wife, Melinda of nine years; daughter, Laura (Ziliak) St. Germain of Lake Forest, CA; stepdaughter, Manda (Felts) Short of Noblesville, IN; grandchildren, Grace and William St. Germain; step-granddaughter, Eden Short; sisters, Carol (Ziliak) Clark, Jackie (Ziliak) Christy, Bobbi (Ziliak) Tenbarge, Terri (Ziliak) Maikranz and Patti (Ziliak) Burger.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1925 Volkman Road, officiated by Pastor Kirk Horstmeyer, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.
