OBITUARY Geraldine C. Acker April 5, 1922 – July 17, 2018 Geraldine Charlotte Acker, 96, passed away July 17, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Home surrounded by family. Geraldine was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked at Servel where she was voted Miss Evansville and later as a teacher at St. John’s East UCC Pre-school.

Geraldine’s memberships included St. John’s East UCC, 3 Arts Club, and as a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Art” Acker, former Bosse High School Coach; and daughter, Barbara Acker Kennedy. Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Susan Acker Taylor (Larry); son, Scott T. Acker (Patty); 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Marlene Edwards; and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM on July 21, 2018, at St. John’s East UCC, officiated by Pastor Adam Payne, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 20, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, and then from 9:00 AM until service time at the church on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s East UCC or Deaconess VNA Hospice.
