Obituary for Evelyn C. Dix Evelyn C. Dix, 93, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by family. Evelyn was an avid prayer warrior and spent her life serving the Lord. She retired at the age of 82 from the EVSC working as a bus aid for special needs students.

Surviving Evelyn are seven daughters, Donna Hill, Glenda Fritts, Carol Maxen, Gayle Turi, Patricia Williams, Charlene Roark and Jessica Dix; seven sons, Glen, Don, Dan, Mark, Curtis, David and John Dix; one sister, Aline Dockery; twenty four grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Dix in 1998. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Pierre Funeral Home, Brother Jeff Edmondson officiating.

Burial will follow in Tupman Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street. Evelyn’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to Hamilton Pointe Health and Rehabilitation and their staff and Deaconess Hospice Care and their staff, especially Megan and Erin, for their loving and compassionate care.
