Thomas C. “T.C.” Gossett, Sr., 85, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Thomas was born in McLean County, Kentucky on November 25, 1932 to the late William Gardner and Mary Magdalene (Ellis) Gossett. He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and retired from Hoprich Welding Supplies after 50 years of service.

He was a faithful member of Centenary United Methodist Church and loved traveling, camping, and square dancing. Thomas is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lynne Carroll (Tom) of Evansville, IN; son, Cliff Gossett (Susan) of Boonville, IN; brother, Wendell “Chip” Gossett of Owensboro, KY; grandchildren, Heather Turner, Natalie Gee, Amanda Guthrie, and Mandi Lockhart; and by his great-grandchildren, Ashley Turner, Emily Turner, Riley Gee, Sydney Gee, Kendall Guthrie, Kate Guthrie, and Kelsey Suter.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ann (McMillen) Gossett in 2015; by his daughter, Pamela Ann Gossett; his parents; sisters, Nancy Lenora Pogue and Betty Joyce Devine; and by his brothers, Kenneth Haynes Gossett and William Marion Gossett. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Danny Walker officiating.

A private burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites. Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 14340 Old State Rd.
