Obituary for Rita Marie Christ Rita Marie Christ, 93 of Zanesville, died 11:20 AM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Willow Haven Care Center in Zanesville. She was born Monday, December 15, 1924 in Zanesville the daughter of Lawrence Paul and Carolyn (Miller) Paul. She was married to James J. Christ who preceded her in death on Wednesday, November 12, 1969.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and of the Men and Women’s Guild, K of C Ladies and Eagles Auxiliary, Benedictine Oblates of St. Meinrad, IN and the Mount Carmel Marian Center. She was a loving mother, and grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Theresa Boyd of New Concord; four sons, Michael (Janet) Christ of Franklin, TN; John Christ of Zanesville, Edward (Susan) Christ of Nashport and Paul Christ of Lancaster; 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth Ann Martin of Columbus and Sr. Angela Paul of Manitowoc, WI and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, Charles Boyd; daughters- in-law, Connie Christ, and Leslie J. Christ; one brother-in-law Charles Boyd; one sister, Mary Frances McCabe, and two brothers, Joseph, and Anthony Paul. Donation may be made in her memory to East Side Ministry,221 Stillwell St, Zanesville, OH 43701 Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. A Rosary Service will be held 3:45 PM and a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7:45 PM on Monday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church 1020 East Main Street Zanesville with Father Martin Ralko as celebrant.
