Robert “Bob” Fletcher, age 89, of the Pleasant Gardens community, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Autumn Care of Marion. A native of Greene County, TN, Bob was born on February 21, 1929 to the late Abner and Evelyn Fletcher. Bob was the co-owner of Fletcher’s Greenhouse in Pleasant Gardens with his wife Virgie Miller Fletcher of 63 years, who preceded him in death on January 30, 2018.

He served during the Korean War in the United States Army. Bob was a member of Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church. Bob leaves behind three children, Keith Fletcher and wife Darlene of Marion, Nita Fletcher of Marion, and Ray Fletcher and wife Sonja of Las Vegas, NV; two granddaughters, Melanie Ellis and husband Scott and Mandy Cable and husband Jason; and two great-grandchildren, Kaley Ellis and Landyn Cable.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at 3:30 p.m. at Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church Cemetery, where Bob will be laid to rest beside his wife Virgie. Military honors will be rendered following the service by United States Army.
