Obituary for Robert Nelson Robert I. Nelson, a former resident of Bingham Twp. , passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Livonia. He was 84 years old.

Robert was born in Detroit on March 30, 1934 to Thorvald and Anna (nee Gawel) Nelson. Robert honorably served our country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Lorraine Marie Adrian, on August 10, 1979 in New Baltimore, Michigan.

The couple lived in Shelby Twp. until moving to Bingham Township. Robert is survived by his loving children Greg, Jeff, and Holly Nelson, step-children James (Sue), John (Carolyn), and Robert (Diane) Peters, beloved grandchildren Nicole, Danylle, Alex, Stacie, Megan, Dylan, Alexia, Jacob, and Maggie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Lorraine, cherished son Matthew, and brother Thorvald Nelson Jr.. Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd. , Fraser, Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 5pm till 8pm and Friday, June 22, 2018 from 1pm till 8pm.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 11am. Internment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East.
