Robert J. Mehesy Sr., 81 of Perth Amboy, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. Robert was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. He was employed by ABB, Inc., North Brunswick as a Mechanical draftsman for over 30 years.

He retired in 2002. He was an avid boats man and was an avid fisherman, either salt water or fresh water fishing. He is preceded in death by his loving son Wayne E. Mehesy, who passed away in 2014; dear son of Joseph and Anna ( nee Koczan ) Mehesy and a brother James Mehesy.

He is survived by his devoted wife Helen ( nee Siecinski ); beloved father of Robert J. Jr., Glenn T. and Deborah Mehesy; dear brother of Joseph Mehesy; adored grandfather of Robert J. “RJ” Mehesy, III; cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation is on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 2 ~ 4 & 7 ~ 9 pm at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy. Burial is Private.
