Obituary for Robert L Taylor Robert Laurence Taylor passed away quietly in his home in Estes Park, CO during the early morning of Saturday, April 7, 2018. Bob was born on June 29, 1929, and spent his childhood with his family in Mississippi. After graduation from the University of Mississippi, he was called to duty with the United States Air Force and served for 18 months in Korea.

On his return to the U.S.A., he enrolled in the Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans where he earned his law degree. Known as a southern gentleman, a born fisherman, and competitive sail boat racer, he moved to Gulfport, MS practicing law with his partner, Ernest Martin. He spent most weekends on the beautiful coastal waters of the MS Sound, including Alabama, Florida and New Orleans.

He also served a term as Commodore of the Gulfport Yacht Club. He was preceded in death by his parents Laurence Avery Taylor and Robbie Hudson Taylor and his first wife Beverly Glass Taylor. In 1972 he married Marcia Musgrave and they enjoyed summers at the family cabin near Estes Park, CO where he was introduced to the Rocky Mountains.

Following Hurricane Katrina in August of 2005, which destroyed their home on the MS Gulf coast, they decided to become fulltime residents of Estes Park, CO. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marcia Taylor and cousins in Louisiana and Mississippi. As he requested, no services will be held.
