Robotham A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, February 15, 2019, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 11th & M Street, Lincoln. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-8pm at Lauber Funeral Home, Milford, with family greeting relatives and friends from 5-7pm. Also one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Memorials have been established and are directed in care of the family. Following lunch, interment will be in the Richland Cemetery, Marquette, at 3pm, with Military Services. Robert P. “Bob” Robotham passed away suddenly Sunday, February 10, 2019 due to a motor vehicle accident near Milford.

He was born on February 16, 1947, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Plin Leroy and Carol Grace (Petsch) Robotham, the oldest of four children. As a young boy Bob attended school in Marquette, graduating with the class of 1965. He was drafted in 1967 into the US Army, serving a tour in Vietnam with the Eleventh Armored Calvary Regiment and was discharged in 1972.

Returning home, Bob attended Nebraska Technical College at Milford and received a degree in automotive mechanics with a certificate in diesel technology. In 1971, Robert was united in marriage to Vivian Jiskra in Tobias at the Lutheran Church and to this union two children were born, Shannon LeAnn and Anthony Plin. They made their home in Lincoln, Tobias, Belvidere, Roca, and Milford.

In his later years, Bob enjoyed spending time with family and babysitting his grandchildren and attending their school activities. He also loved working on cars and motorcycles with his children and grandchildren. Bob enjoyed audio books, spending time at the Milford Senior Center, and playing cards with his Sunday card group.

He enjoyed dancing at the Pla-Mor Ballroom and other locations. Robert was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Lincoln, the Milford American Legion #171. He also was a volunteer and driver for the Milford Senior Center.

Over the years Bob also served as a firefighter and EMT on the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments in the communities he lived. Bob is survived by his daughter, Shannon Brydl and special friend, Scott Tachovsky, both of Clatonia, son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Rose Robotham, Seward, nine grandchildren, Gage and Marshall Brydl, Shelby, Garrett and Chase Tachovsky, Brandon (Fletcher) and Jonathan Tanner, Evan Fletcher, Maxwell and Maya Robotham, mother, Carol Robotham, Aurora, brother, Steven Robotham, Marquette, sister, Carolin Skordas, Ponte Vedra, FL, niece, Carol (Robert) Skordas-Walport, New York City, NY. He was preceded in death by his father, Plin, and a brother, William.
