Obituary for Robert Tannehill Parkinson Robert “Bob” Parkinson went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 30, 2018 at age 77. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Norma Parkinson; two daughters, Kelly (Manuel) Duncan and Amy Parkinson; three grandsons, Christopher, Joshua, and Brodie; and other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Velma Parkinson and one brother, Jim Parkinson.

Bob was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. He proudly serviced his country in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Sears & Roebuck after 33 years of service.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home. The service will follow at 3:00 p.m. A private burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gardendale First Baptist Church Missions Fund.
