Robert Thomas Pearce (Cowboy) Robert Thomas Pearce, 81, passed away on August 30, 2018. He was born July 31, 1937 in Ogden, Utah to Franklin and Lylia B. Street Pearce. Robert served in the Navy from 1955 to 1961.

He married Artie Aardema in Ogden on August 28, 1975. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lived in Plain City for 43 years and served as the Plain City Water Master for 15 years.

He worked at DDO as a Quality Control Supervisor for 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman – loved to fish and hunt especially with his brothers. He taught his 3 girls how to bait and set a hook.

He was also an avid trapper and sold his pelts at market. In his younger years he traveled the Rodeo circuit as a bull-dogger. He dearly loved his 3 girls and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife Artie; daughters Mishie and Chet Child, Shelli and Guy Hufstetler, Cindy and Kendell Harper; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings Patsy and Kawther Hakim, Doug (deceased) Carol Pearce, Roy (deceased) Diane Pearce, Larry and Jerry Minks, Betty Kofoed and Ron and Terry Minks. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Plain City 4th Ward, 2235 N. 4350 W. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd and Wednesday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Plain City Cemetery. Special thanks to Stephanie and Sarah at Legacy Hospice from Robert’s family.
