Born: November 9, 1946 of parents Charles Edmund Dale, Indianapolis,Indiana,& Emma Fayrene Spencer Dale, Morgantown, Kentucky Present with the Lord: October 25, 2018 Jerry passed peacefully at home from pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Dale, and his siblings. Surviving family members include wife, Mary Dale of Roy, Utah; daughter, Lorri Covell and husband Richard Covell of Clearfield, Utah; son, Donald Dale and family of Indianapolis, Indiana; Step-son Jesse Stewart Jr. of Roy, Utah.

Grand-children: Erica Havely Reed (husband Elijah Reed) of Roy, Utah; Brandon Havely of Ogden, Utah; and two grandchildren in Indiana; Great-grandchildren: Peyton Reed, Dallas Reed, and Winnie Havely. Jerry served in the U.S. Army (Vietnam Era Veteran) and worked in Indianapolis, Indiana at Western Electric, Naval Air Warfare Center-Hughes, Ratheon Tech Services, Diamond Chain, and L&E Engineer. Jerry also worked at the Riverdale Walmart and the IRS in Ogden, Utah.

Jerry had numerous positions/job skills. He worked as a Combat Engineer in the military (helped build bridges), Material Handler, Tool & Die Maker, Machinist, 1st part and final inspector, blueprint reading, moldmaker-plastic, grinder-surface polisher, assembler, sheet metal tools, local truck driver, janitorial, warehouse/production, customer service, produce associate, data entry, and remittance processing clerk. In other words, as Elijah Reed stated, Jerry was “A Jack of All Trades”!

Jerry was a very kind and giving man. His “First Love” was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He did whatever he could to provide for his family.

He loved his wife, family, and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going on drives, going to car shows, listening to music, watching Christian shows and worshipping with his church family. He is dearly missed and loved.

The song he dedicated to his wife, Mary Dale, was “The Keeper of the Stars,” by Tracy Byrd. Jerry’s “light” now will shine forever and he will always remain in our hearts.
