Russell D. “Rusty” Rogers, age 57, of Ringwood, passed away suddenly, Friday, June 1, 2018. He was born on October 10, 1960 to Buddy Eugene and Norma Jean (Dockerty) Rogers in Indiana. On July 11, 1987, he was united in marriage to Sandra A. Smith in Colony, TX.

He will be remembered for his dedication to being a devoted husband and father, as well as his great sense of humor. He leaves behind his wife, Sandy; his sons, Travis (Elizabeth) Rogers and Jake (Patricia Dominguez) Rogers; his parents, Bud and Norma Rogers; two siblings, Bob Rogers and Debbie (Jeff) Cardwell; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Rogers; his mother-in-law, Theresa Smith; his sisters-in-law, Linda (Scott) Malicki and Paula (David) Ugalde; a brother-in-law, Kevin (Denise) Smith; and many nieces and nephews. Russell was preceded in death by his brother, Buddy Dale Rogers; and his father-in-law, Merle “Smitty” Smith.

Friends and neighbors are invited to visit with Russell’s family on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until the 7:30 p.m. Celebration of Life at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home, 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove, IL 60081. A second visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E Main St, Russiaville, IN 46979. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery in Kokomo, IN.
