Ruth was born June 5, 1933 to Robert A. and Mary Mower in Ogden, Utah. Ruth passed away peacefully on May 2, 2018 at her daughter’s home of natural causes. Ruth married the love of her life, Carl E. Boatwright, Jr on June 27, 1952.

Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 1, 1962. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had many hobbies.

She loved to crochet, collect thimbles, spoons, beanie babies and dolls. She was an avid BYU football fan and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers for over 60 years. She worked at Hill AFB for 42 years as a computer operator.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Carl; daughters, Debra Skeen; Denice (Bruce) Nelson; son, Eric Boatwright; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Joy, Carol, and Alice. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roy First Ward, 5850 South 2575 West, Roy, Utah.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening, May 16, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. and prior to the service on Thursday, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Roy First Ward. Interment Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah Ruth loved her family dearly and she will be missed by all who knew her. Condolences can be send to the family at: www.
