WINSTED – POWELL – Ruth E. Powell, passed on to her Heavenly rest on September 13, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Powell who passed away in February. Born February 1, 1930; the daughter of the late Floyd and Nellie (Savage) Lefever.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Louis “Bud,” and two sisters, Alice and Ethel. Ruth was born and raised in Ellwood City, PA and lived there until her marriage to Donald on January 3, 1950. … Read More » They moved to Ohio where they raised their children, Dennis (Joyce), David (Maureen) and Cheryl (John) and with their 68 years of marriage lived in CT, CA and NC.

They spent 20 years in Wilmington of which they enjoyed the early part of retirement. She also leaves behind her 5 grandsons, 4 step granddaughters, many great grandchildren and for the past few months, her beloved dog, Rascal. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted at 10 AM.
