Ruthanna J. Dusman, 91, of Hanover, PA, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, entered peacefully into God’s eternal care, Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Homewood at Plum Creek Retirement Home, Hanover, PA. Born July 18, 1926 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Monroe O. and Helen M. (Bechtel) Baumgardner. Ruthanna was the loving wife of the late Earl A. Dusman, who died September 30, 1992.

Mrs. Dusman was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA. Ruthanna worked at the Hanover Bon Ton store before retiring in 2007 from the Hanover Chamber of Commerce, where she was the membership coordinator. She was a former member of the ladies’ auxiliary at the Hanover Elks Lodge, BPOE #763.

Ruthanna was a lifelong resident of Hanover and resided at Homewood at Plum Creek for many years. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and was known for being a very positive and fun-loving person. Ruthanna lived her life for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruthanna is survived by her children, Ralph Dusman and wife Phyllis, of Chambersburg, PA, Glenn Dusman and wife Barbara of Westminster, MD and Sara Martz and husband Jeffrey of Hanover, PA; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great great grandchildren, and one sister, Dianne Albin of Hanover, PA. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene Cluck and Eleanor Kerchner, and one brother, Monroe Baumgardner. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Ruthanna’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 127 York Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev.

E. Robert Burkhart officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM, Friday, April 27, 2018 at the church.

The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at Homewood for the many years of care to Ruthanna especially these past few months. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 127 York Street, Hanover, PA 17331. The Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA has been entrusted by the family with the funeral arrangements.
