Obituary of Ruth Bell Ruth L. Bell passed away, entering eternal life on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in her hometown of Long Branch, NJ. Born in Luzerne, Pennsylvania on April 14, 1931, she was the youngest daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Baronowski’s eleven children. Ruth, affectionately known as Rudy, lived the early part of her life on her family’s farm in Pennsylvania before moving and settling in New Jersey with many of her ten siblings.

Ruth married George Bell in 1962 and they settled in Elizabeth, NJ where they raised a family. Ruth was a nurse at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Elizabeth, and later retired as a Senior Clerk Typist for the State of New Jersey and moving to Long Branch, NJ to be near one of her life’s passions, the ocean. Rudy was a devout Christian with profound faith.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She devoted her entire life to her family and the Lord, passing on with joy in her heart. Rudy was predeceased by her late husband, George, brothers, Anthony, Leo, Stanley, Edward and Alfred, sisters Marion, Valerie, Alice, and Joan.

Ruth is survived by her children, David, Sean, and Elizabeth, grandchildren, Joey, Tommy, Jenny and Ryan, great-grandchildren, Donovan, Caleb, and Joey, her sister Roselyn Driscoll, and an abundance of adoring nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 11am at the First Assembly of God Church in Shrewsbury, NJ located at 220 Sycamore Avenue. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to Rudy’s church in Shrewsbury.
