Sammy Carol Windham, 74, of Florence, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Mr. Windham was born in Bishopville, SC, a son of the late Bessie Virginia Andrews Windham and James Boyd Windham. He was a US Army veteran.

Mr. Windham was a member of West Florence Church of God. He traveled around singing songs and telling the gospel. He loved His Lord and loved to fish.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Loura Nell Ferrell Windham; seven brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his sisters, Mary Windham Harrell Shirey of Ocala, FL and Dorothy Windham O’Neal of Hartsville, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will held at a later date at Florence National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the West Florence Church of God, 1907 Third Loop Road, Florence, SC 29501 or your favorite charity.
