Sandra L. “Sandy” Ousley, 70, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 2:21 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born October 8, 1947 in Granite City, a daughter of the late Louis and Gladys (Carney) Gregory. She married Joseph A. Ousley on January 21, 1967 in Granite City and he survives.

She enjoyed her days of shopping and knitting, attending social events and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She cherished her family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by three children and spouses, Sherri and Gareth Davies of Crestwood, Missouri, Christopher and Carissa Ousely of Edwardsville and Keri Ousley of Granite City; four grandchildren, Rhiannon Davies, Imogen Davies, Evan Ousley and Owen Ousley; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Charlie Hester of Granite City and Lynn and Faye Hester of St. Charles, Missouri; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty and Ken Jackson of Clarksville, Tennessee and Lois Peterson of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.

In addition to her beloved parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dominic Keeney and a brother, Max Hester. In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Stray Rescue of St. Louis and may be accepted at the funeral home.
