Obituary for Sharon Runnion Woodby Sharon Runnion Woodby, age 57, of Elizabethton, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 following a courageous battle with an extended illness. Born in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Ray and the late Carolyn Fair Runnion. Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Lewis, sister-in-law Alyson, nieces Savannah, Jocelyn & McKenna, nephews Logan, Hunter and Camden and a multitude of very special friends.

Sharon is also survived by her often misunderstood but much beloved feline, Baby. Sharon’s career at Kennametal spanned thirty-seven years where she was a Quality Inspector and best known as a master practical joker. Sharon was of the Christian faith, loved every animal she ever met, adored being on the water, enjoyed fishing, was an avid NASCAR fan and her favorite color was purple.

A service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. To honor Sharon at the service, the family encourages you to wear something purple or something representing your favorite NASCAR driver; but please, if your favorite driver is Kyle Bush, Sharon would prefer you just wear purple. In lieu of flowers, which always made Sharon sneeze, we ask you to consider a donation in her name to Colorectal Cancer Alliance, Shriners Hospitals for Children or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
