MISHAWAKA – Shelly Jo Bright, 58, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at her home. Shelly was born on August 10, 1959 in South Bend to the late Kent Frederick and Donna (VanDesample) Waggoner, and has been a lifelong resident of this area, attending John Adams High School. Shelly was self-employed providing cleaning services for area homes and businesses.

Shelly loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a huge fan of NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and a huge fan of University of Notre Dame. Shelly attended Saint Monica Catholic Church, Mishawaka.

Shelly is survived by her daughters, Dana Bright, Diana Bright, and Rikki Bright, all of South Bend; step-daughter, Abigail Bright of Nappanee; grandchildren, Tyler, Amirah, Penelope, Emmett, and Alicia. She is also survived by sisters, Cindy Grantham and Kim (Tom) Lucci, both of Mishawaka, Carrie (Kelly) Ullery and Jody (Derrick) Waggoner, both of South Bend; brothers, Jon Frederick of Mishawaka, David Frederick and Scott Frederick, both of South Bend. Shelly was preceded in death by her parents, Kent and Donna Frederick, and by her granddaughter, Dakota Ferguson.

Memorial Services for Shelly Jo Bright will be at 4:00 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. , South Bend, IN 46615, where friends may visit with the family two hours prior to services (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM). Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society of North Central Indiana, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
