Shena Lynn Nogues, 66, of Santa Maria, CA left for heaven on June 4, 2018. Shena was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on July 30, 1951. She moved with her family to the Santa Maria Valley in 1965, when she was 13 years old.

Shena attended Stroud grade School and Ernest Righetti High School. Shena had a fulfilling 28 year career at Plantel Nurseries, INC. As a Human Re manager, she made many lifelong friends.

Shena always loved having family and friends over to the house for BBQ’s and Sunday dinners. She also loved sharing her joy for the lake cabin, with anyone that wanted some fantastic BBQ, great times and lots of memories. Shena is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael Nogues.

Daughter Michelle Thayer, husband Nick, grandsons Ryan, Colby and Blake. Daughter Katie Drake, fiance Matt Aanerud, granddaughters Madison and McKenzie Aanerud and grandson Landon Drake. Three sisters, Sharkey Gustafson and family of Santa Maria, CA.

Lorna Ingram and family of Davenport, OK. Tracy English and family of Santa Maria, CA. Brother Joe Ingram and family of Santa Maria, CA.

Shena was preceded in death by her parents Bettie Obermiller, father Kenneth Ingram and mother and in-laws Winfred and Wilma Nogues. A memorial celebration of Shena’s life will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Dudley Hoffman Mortuary. A reception will be held immediately following at the Ontiveros Ranch.

In lieu of flowers Shena’s requests contributions to her favorite charity, St. Jude.
