Shirley Ann {Mitchell} Myers, 70, of Wooster, died Thursday, April 19, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice. Friends may call Wednesday, April 25, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at First Church of God, 1953 Akron Rd. , Wooster OH 44691.

Memorial services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. Burial will be at Ashland City Cemetery. Online tributes may be made at www.

Shirley was born September 14, 1947 in McArthur, OH to Clarence and Virginia {Scarberry} Mitchell. She married Richard Myers on July 4, 1988, putting together a family of 14 children. For most of her career, Shirley worked with dogs, first as a groomer, and then as a rescuer.

Shirley enjoyed a special relationship with her pastor Arnie at First Church of God. She loved spending time with dogs, horses, and most of all, her beloved children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her husband; children Oswald “Sonny”, Sherri, George, Tim, Stephanie, Vickie, Jenny, Stevie, Donny, Doug, Debbie and Chris; 33 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers Mike Veres and Tim Veres.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, sons Ryan and Joel, and brother Joe Veres.
