Shirley Ann Stanfield It is with great sadness the family of Shirley Ann Stanfield announces her passing on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 71 years old. Shirley was born to Eugene and Mildred Stanfield on June 30, 1947 in Walterboro, South Carolina. Shirley graduated from Columbia High School in June 1965.

She held several interesting career positions including working with Happy the Tiger (Exxon), owning her own Sub Station, and working as an administrative assistant to a General in the United States Army while she and her husband were stationed in Germany. While she was stationed in Germany, she was able to travel all over Europe and told many stories about her adventures abroad to her family and friends. Shirley treasured her time as a military spouse and always admired the service of her husband, her father, her brothers and her nephew to their country as well as her great niece (PFC Kaylee Matthews) who is currently serving in the United States Army.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Debra Stanfield and her sister, Nancy Turner. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Mildred Stanfield, and her brother, Ernie Stanfield. She will also be remembered and greatly missed by her nephew and his wife, Scott and Nissa Stanfield, her niece, Jaqueline Stanfield Matthews, her niece and her husband, Leara and SFC (ret.

) Timothy Owens, and her nephew and his wife, David and Sarah Lewis as well as seven great nieces and three great nephews: Alexandria, Olivia, Kaylee, Cameron, Riland, Paisley, Lace Ann, Ansley, Lexie and Austin. A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2:30 pm at the New Life Chapel (Lowman Home) 102 Heidelberg Circle Chapin, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

There will be refreshments following the service. Those who desire to make memorial donations can do so to Lutheran Hospice/Lutheran Homes of South Carolina Foundation. www.
