Shirley Jean Hamlin, 61, went to be with the Lord April 20, 2018. Graveside Funeral Services Celebrating her life will be 11:00 A.M. Friday April 27, 2018 at Forest Chapel United Methodist Church, 4252 Pine Hall Road, Walnut Cove, North Carolina 27052. Shirley was born in Stokes County, North Carolina to the late Woodrow Wilson Hamlin and Mary Magdalene Collins Hamlin.

Shirley was preceded death by brothers; Lawrence Gene Hamlin, Jimmy Gray Hamlin, and Wilson Junior Hamlin. Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Hamlin and Marsha; grandson, Sammy Duggins; great grandchildren, C.J. Duggins and Abigail Duggins; sisters, Francis Wrenn and Butch and Lois White and Tim; brothers, Carl Hamlin, Jerry Wayne Hamlin, and Timmy Ray Hamlin, and many extended family and friends.
