Sonja’s Obituary Sonja Kay Stanley, age 71, of Centerview, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at home surrounded by loving family. She was born October 31, 1947 in Lexington the daughter of Garland and Emogene (Corbin) Williams. On April 27, 1987, she and Dean Stanley were united in marriage in Branson, MO.

He preceded her in death. Sonja loved spending time with her family. She could be found in the summer time riding her lawn mower or in Odessa at one of her antique booths.

Sonja is survived by her children, Doug (Arline) Hayes of Odessa and Dustie (David) McGrew of Marshall; step children, Jeff (Carissa) Stanley of Oak Grove and Cheryl (Kelvin) Francy of Centerview; her grandchildren, Dylan Madrid of Marshall, Courtney Davis of Marshall, Caden McGrew of Marshall, Zachary Butts of Higginsville, Rebeccah Stanley of Blue Springs, Joshua Stanley of Oak Grove, Nathan (Hanna) Francy of Blue Springs, and Kaitlyn (Dalton) Hutcherson of Centerview; a great granddaughter, Kaylee Madrid; and a sister, Pam Borel of South Daytona, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, her parents, Garland and Emogene, and a brother, Steve Williams. A celebration of life will be held from 2-4 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Reflections on Pine in Warrensburg.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
