Obituary for Stafford Raymond Gravely Stafford “Raymond” Edward Gravely, 83, passed away November 12, 2018, at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, New York. He was born in Leatherwood, Virginia, on December 31, 1938 to the late Eligah and Nancy Hodge Gravely. He was a long-term employee of Sally Sherman Food Company and an avid baseball lover and fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Herman, June and Leroy Gravely. Raymond is survived by his sister, Gladys Hairston, and long-term companion Thomisena Cooper. He also leaves behind his five children, Gail Gravely, Sandra Gravely, Patrick Brown, Stafford Gravely, and Tieshae Gravely; along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His strong and boisterous personality and humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Gravely Family Cemetery in Leatherwood. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
