Stanley Alan Sheppard, 57, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019, at his home. He was born May 16, 1962 in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Clifford Faxton Sheppard and Mary Arrington Sheppard. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Ridgeway.

One of his greatest joys was helping Matt Bowling in his racing career. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Sheppard is survived by his wife, Anita Dyer Sheppard; daughter, Hali Day; sons, Dustin Alan Sheppard, Gatlin Wells (Morgan); brother, Sonny Sheppard; and grandchildren, Alaura Day, J.R. Day, Kadence Wells, Odin Sheppard, and Nova Sheppard.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 7:00 P. M., at First Baptist Church of Ridgeway, with Reverend Lewis Harris, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or First Baptist Church of Ridgeway picnic shelter fund.
