Stephen A. Greenough, age 78, a resident of Johnstown, passed away Sunday February 24, 2019 at home after being stricken following a long illness. He was born on March 30, 1940 in Astoria Queens, NY. The son of the late Steven and Anne Sanchez Greenough.

He was employed as a laborer for Wood and Hyde Leather Company for many years. Steve loved the outdoors and spent many hours fishing with friends and his wife. He loved being with family and friends and his best friend, his brother Barry.

He was very proud of his children and his world revolved around his wife, Pam. Survivors include his wife; Pamela Thompson Greenough of Johnstown whom he married on 6/22/1968. Other survivors include one son, Mark (Londa); one daughter Tammy (Al), one brother Barry (Rita), his nephew Garry (Kate), and his grandchildren Mark, Jr., Jessica, and Emmy.

In keeping with Stephen’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Gloversville Funeral Service, 4 Second Ave. , Gloversville.

Steve loved animals so memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Animal Shelter at 117 W. Fulton St., Gloversville, NY 12078 or the James A Brennan Humane Society at 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, also in Gloversville. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Stephen A.
