Steven Richard Jones, 63, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Carroll Hospital Center. Born on September 7, 1954 in Wilmington, NC, he was the son of the late Richard and Angela (Boudreaux) Jones. He was the loving and devoted husband of 19 years to Margaret Rosella (Brown) Jones.

Steven was a practicing attorney in Westminster specializing in wills, estates, and trusts. He was a member of the Westminster Elks Lodge #2277, and the Ionic Masonic Lodge #145 in Reisterstown. He loved time with his grandchildren and family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, James Jones of Urbana, and Jeremy Strassman and fiancée Kristen Storey of Glen Rock, PA; daughter, Sara Givens and husband Justin of Westminster; grandchildren, Blake, Kaden and Julie Strassman, Miranda and Marcus Jones, Weston and Aurora Givens; sisters, Holly Moore of Hampstead and Laura Garcia and husband Nathan of Annapolis; niece, Marissa Moore; nephew, Nicholas Garcia; and several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Leslie Jones. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster.

Private inurnment will be at a later date in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Sykesville. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Humane Society of Carroll County, 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD 21158.
