Steven “Shane” Mollenkopf, 48, of Upland, passed away on March 27, 2019 at the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. He was born on July 19, 1970 in Anderson, Indiana. He previously lived at the Arcadia Children’s Home in Arcadia, IN for over 34 years, and currently lived in a group home in Upland, IN.

Shane is survived by his loving mother, Cynthia (Jackson) Bennett of Anderson; father, Jim (Teresa) Mollenkopf of Coal City; sister, Paula Bruner of Anderson; brother, Michael (Viviana) Bennett of Dallas, TX; and step-siblings, Larry (Amy) Reason, Tammy Moore, Michael (Angie) Reason, and Susan (William) Hallsworth, and several cousins. Also surviving are many loving caregivers that took great care of him most of his life. He was preceded in death by his brother, Grant Bennett; aunt, Nancy Pettigrew; uncle, Mick Jackson; and grandparents, June and Vaughn Mollenkopf, Herman (Louise) Jackson, and Hilda Jackson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN. Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
