Ella Mae (Carpenter) Chapple, 88, of Ingalls, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2019 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on December 6, 1930 in Newark, Arkansas to Allie J. and Emma LouEllen (Nash) Carpenter. She worked at the former Brookside Corporation for several years, and worked at Seybert’s Orchard for 17 years.

She enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Feeding her birds and squirrels, watching NBA Basketball, especially the Indiana Pacers, western movies, working jigsaw puzzles, and listening to Bluegrass Music. She never met a stranger, and she was the perfect “Neighborhood Watch”.

She enjoyed many years of flea marketing with her husband, especially 20 plus years at “First Monday Flea Market” in Ripley, Mississippi. Ella is survived by her daughters, Willa (Tim) Branch, Nina (Von) Manifold, Sharon (Charlie) Beckham; grandchildren, David (Casey) Branch, Darrin (Aaron) Branch, Darci Thomas, Jessica Manifold, Emily Manifold, Jason Beckham, Brad Beckham; great-grandchildren, Chloe Thomas, Evan Beckham, Allen Beckham, Aaron Beckham; great-great-grandsons, Daxton and Zelend Beckham; sister, Alline (Johnny) Thompson She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002, Jessie W. Chapple, her parents; siblings, Kendall Carpenter, Doyle Carpenter, Eloise Williams, Nita Henry, Joyce Powell, Juanita Williams; and an infant grandson, Harold W. Manifold. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2019, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson.

Services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL, 60675.
