Mary Rosalyn “Rosie” Watson, 87 , of Anderson, passed away on March 17, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born on August 6, 1931 to Ralph and Helen (Madden) Johnson. Rosie graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1949 and graduated from Indiana Business College.

She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She retired from Delco Remy after 30 years of service. After retirement Rosie spent many hours volunteering.

She volunteered for several years at the Paramount Theater as a buyer for the gift shop, and volunteered almost 6000 hours over a 30 year period at St. Johns Hospital Anderson. Rosie also made soup for the Christian Center for 10 years. Rosie is survived by her daughters, Julie (John) Grimes, Cindy (Kevin) Pulford, grandchildren, Rachael (Patrick Kuwik) Martin and Robby Martin.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, David Watson. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 21, 2019, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, IN. A Mass service will be at 10:00 am Friday, March 22, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 1115 Pearl Street Anderson, IN 46016 with Reverend Daniel P. Shine officiating.
