With great sadness, we announce the passing of our loving mother, Judith “Judy” Tuttle Byer on March 15th, 2019. At the age of 66, Judy passed away peacefully at her home after a brief battle with cancer. Judy was born September 29th, 1952 in Hicksville, Ohio to Robert and Rosalie Tuttle, where she lived until she graduated from Hicksville High School in 1970.

Judy went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Miami University of Ohio. After spending a short amount of time working as an interior designer, she went on to pursue her true passion in life: teaching. Judy earned a master’s degree from Ball State University while working as an elementary school art teacher, primarily with Anderson Community Schools.

Aside from the true joy she found in teaching, our mom enjoyed traveling, painting, reading, spending time with friends and family and her darling dog, Symmie. She was the beloved mother of Ellen and Martha Byer and cherished sister to Ronald (Marcia) Tuttle. Please join us in honoring our mother in the best possible way – by viewing her artwork on display at the Anderson Museum of Art, 32 West 10th Street Anderson, IN 46016 on March 28th, 2019 between 4:00pm-7:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Judy’s honor to the Indiana Parkinson’s Foundation or the American Cancer Society. loosecares.com To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Judith “Judy” Tuttle Byer please visit our Sympathy Store.
