Suzanne Lela Blackburn Simmons, age 72 of Franklin, Tennessee died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Vanderbilt Medical Center. Mrs. Simmons was a Marshall County native born December 19, 1945 daughter of Hubert and Melba Twitty Blackburn. She was a member of the Marshall County graduating class of 1963.

She retired from the educational field after forty-one years of service as a teacher and guidance counselor in the Franklin Special School district. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her father, she is survived by her husband, Johnny Simmons of Franklin, daughter, Sherry (Jeff) Willhelm of Spring Hill, mother, Melba Twitty Blackburn of Lewisburg and one granddaughter, Dalaney Willhelm.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date for Suzanne at the First United Methodist Church Lewisburg. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
