Teresa Gail Hockersmith, 59, of Connersville passed away with family by her side late Thursday evening, February 21, 2019, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. The only child of Harold and Jeannette Sparks Good, Teresa was born in Connersville on July 12, 1959, and graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1977. On September 2, 1978, Teresa married William Dean Hockersmith in First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Hockersmith survives. Teresa was employed at Garfield’s and Endicott & Johnson shoe stores for several years and at Visteon for over 15 years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed knitting and making afghans.

Teresa had a love for nature and enjoyed walking outdoors and watching animals, along with vacationing with her husband. Besides her husband of over 40 years, William Hockersmith, survivors include two sisters-in-law, Maria (Dan) Gabbard of Shelbyville, Indiana and Teresa Steele of Connersville; cousins, Sheila and Ronnie Henry, Joyce and Larry Puckett, and Teresa Worrell, all of Irvine, Kentucky. Teresa is preceded in death by her parents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery. Online condolences may be made anytime at millermosterrobbins.com.
