Terrence’s Obituary Terrence A. Ahern—80, Minot, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 in his home. Terrence Arthur Ahern was born on February 13, 1939, a son of Terrence J. and Martha M. (Tegmeier) Ahern on February 13, 1939 in Berthold, ND. He was raised and educated in Berthold, graduating from Berthold High School in 1957.

Terry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960 until 1963 and again from 1972 until 1980. After his discharge from the service in 1963 Terrance moved to Everett, WA where he was employed by Providence Hospital and later by Scott Paper Co He was united in marriage to Betty Valentine on July 19, 1965 in Yakima, WA.

After leaving the Army in 1980, Terry and his family moved to Minot. He was employed by the US Postal Service as a postal clerk. He retired in 2001.

He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot, the Minot American Legion Post #26 and was part of the Retired Volunteer Program at Trinity Homes. Terry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty; step-son, Richard; daughter, Brenda; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters; and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Visitation: Friday, April 5, 2019 from 4:00 until 6:30 pm at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot Vigil Prayer Service: Friday at 6:30 pm at Thompson Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Burial will take place at a later date at the Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold, ND. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Terry honor to the Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry, Minot.
