Obituary for Thelma P. Colyer (Thompson) June 26, 1925 – Nov. 27, 2018 Thelma P. Colyer,93, Bellwood, died peacefully Tuesday morning at Epworth Manor. She was born June 26, 1925 in Tyrone daughter of the late Rueben and Elizabeth (Smith) Thompson.

On September 26, 1946 she married George F. Colyer, Sr. in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1987. Surviving are six children: George F. Jr of Alaska, Terrance L. ‘Ted’(Dianne) of Fostoria, Loretta A. Clapper of Bellwood, Hank E. (Donna) and Mark A. (Lynn) both of Cresson, Betty L. (Jeff) Narehood of Tipton; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother Allen Thompson of Port Matilda and a sister Glenda Pierce of Olean, NY.

She was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Prince. Thelma retired as a line operator at James Industries, Hollidaysburg after 25 years of service. She volunteered at the Altoona Hospital for many years; and was a lifetime member of the Red Hat Society.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6-8pm Friday, November 30, 2018 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday, Dec.

1, 2018 at the funeral home, Rev. Brian Sandall officiating. Interment we be at Blair Memorial Park.

The family suggests contributions in Thelma’s memory be made to Alzheimer’s Assn. Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Dr. Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Easter for Eli 2522 Dick Ln. Roaring Spring, PA 16673.
