Obituary for Thelma McDavid (Parsons) Thelma McDavid, 84, of Grayson passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at her residence. She was born December 22, 1933 in Sandy Hook, KY; a daughter of the late Vencil and Ollie Porter Parsons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter McDavid; a son, Roger Coy McDavid; two brothers, Ralph Parsons and Lonnie Parsons; two grandchildren, Jocelyn Beth McDavid and Kennis Burchett; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Parsons.

Thelma was a loving mother and a member of East Side Church of Christ. She was retired from Dyers Big Sandy Furniture. Left to cherish her memories are two sons, Richard A. (Sandy) McDavid of Allen, KY, and Paul Steve (Traci) McDavid of Hitchins; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Thea, Michael, Reka, Brennan, and Adrian; five great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Tegan, Braxton, Dalton, and Hannah; two brothers, Bobby Parsons of Cincinnati, OH, and Donnie Parsons; three sisters, Della Barker of Shelby, OH, Dorothy Flannery of Grayson, and June Parsons of Grayson.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 18th at 11:00 a.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home with Bill Bush, minister. Burial will follow at the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, September 17th from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
